Benjamin Fossati
Creative Director – Artisan/ Craftman
I am an architect and a lighting craftsman. Composing, and working materials is my passion. Learning new skills helps me to create practical, durable and aesthetic light objects. I co-founded CORRETTO Atelier of Light to come back to what seems to me essential and noble, the manmade.
My Philosophy when making Lights
Daylighting must remain at the heart of architectural thinking so that we maintain a connection with our nature. On the other hand, we should propose technological alternatives combining a return to the past and a more ancestral approach to light. Nomadic lamps, for me, are an obvious solution to the too-present and uncontrollable light of our environment. Following us everywhere, anytime, they can be fixed thanks to a research on the support and the hanging, then it becomes the ultimate lighting.
Jonathan Trouillon
Managing Director – Artisan/ Craftman
I am a Social and Environmental Entrepreneur specializing in the field of Light. I see light as a powerful vector to change and improve our living conditions. My dream for light is to make it as equal as possible while creating emotions and pleasures. I co-founded CORRETTO Atelier of Light with my friend & associate Benjamin, with the intention to build a humanist atelier, established on strong values and promoting a low-tech and circular economy.
My Philosophy when making Lights
The light must be understood and perceived as punctual and supplementary. It must not replace the night. Man feeds on light but also needs the darkness to rest. Our millions of photoreceptors make us sensitive to light. Creating a light object and bringing it into a living or working space with the intention of illuminating people must be done in a responsible way. The stakes are the quality of use, the richness of the light source, the lifespan of the product, and the value it brings to man physiologically and in his activities.
